Beauty Item I Swear By

Eden (tawny matte finish)
Sin (champagne shimmer)
Original (nude, dries invisible)
$18.00

I am sure, by now, you can tell I love Urban Decay products. If I had the money, I would own all of the stuff they make. Alas, I don't have an endless supply of money, so I put mine towards their primers. See this post for my other Urban Decay primer obsession. I started using the Eden primer on my eyelids a few months ago and I will never go back. The color of Eden will even out your eyelids prior to applying eyeshadow or could be worn alone. Put a little bit of this on your eyelids and your eyeshadow will stay in place all day. The tube I bought a few months ago is still going strong so it lasts awhile.

Beauty Item I Swear By

Black Honey
$14.00

This sheer, glossy lip color claims to be wearable on anyone. I was a skeptic, but now I am in love with the color. On a recent trip to Sephora, I tried this color on and I loved the shade it became. The texture of the gloss is also very smooth and creamy but not clumpy. My mom also tried it on, and it became a completely different color on her and looked just a great on her as it did on me. She also loved the color and texture.

M is for Mask

1. myfaceworks Sheet Mask "the starter kit" ($45)

2. Boscia Luminizing Black Mask ($34)

3. Fresh Rose Face Mask ($55)

4. Peter Thomas Roth Sulfur Cooling Mask ($40)

5. REN Glycolactic Skin Renewal Peel Mask ($55)

Eyeshadow Suggestion

Superstar (Bronze)
$26.99

This trio of eye shadows is a great combination of colors for a natural day time look on light and medium skin tones. Use the lightest shade from the lash line to brow bone, the medium shade across the lid, and the darkest shade as a substitute for eyeliner at the lash line.

Nail and Cuticle Repair

Barielle products were on sale on Hautelook a few weeks ago. As someone with notoriously weak and breakage prone nails, I jumped on the chance to try new products to help my nails grow. I ordered the Intensive Nail Renewal Oil ($12.50) and the Nail Strengthener Cream ($17.00). I have been using them for a few weeks now and my nails aren't breaking off as easily. Hopefully this can be maintained!

Just Bitten

Revlon Just Bitten Lipstain in Gothic ($9.99)

I recently bought this lipstain as a part of the CVS sale I told you about. I decided to purchase the color Gothic, a blue red, over Flame which is more of a orange red. The color is not overwhelming at all in my opinion. I was told it looked like I had just eaten a red colored food, living up to its name! Check out the picture below and let me know what you think (Excuse the close up on my lips :)

OPI Shatter Polish

I was intrigued by the new shatter polish by OPI but I hadn't been able to find it anywhere until this weekend. I had to try it instantly. I had a coupon for a free polish at Ulta so I bought their Professional Nail Laquer in Island Hopper and over layed it with OPI Black Shatter.

The shatter goes on over dry polish and then it shrinks as it drys to give the shattered look. Its not the best image, but its a cool effect.

They have also announced  new colors of shatters. I can't find them for sale yet, but I look forward to trying them.

Anti-Aging

Fortunately, for now, I do not need to use serious anti-aging products. I have started to use some preventative products, but I still have to focus on keeping the acne at bay. However, my mom has just started using this new line and wrinkle corrector from Clinique with great results. Recommended if you want something great for smoothing out lines and wrinkles.

Eyes, Lips, Face

Eyes. Lips., Face (E.L.F) is an online site that sells cheaply priced makeup. With most of it, you get what you paid for, but these products are ones that I will buy again and again. The other makeup is pretty good, but nothing spectacular. Try to catch them when they have free shipping deals because shipping costs $6.95.

Mineral Eyeshadow ($3.00)

Cream Eyeliner ($3.00)

Translucent Matifying Powder ($3.00)

Concealer Pencil and Brush ($3.00)

Beauty Item I Crave

I love Urban Decay cosmetics (as you can guess by last weeks Beauty Item I Swear By). This pencil set is in honor of their 15 year anniversary and it is a great deal for some great colors. I just can't justify spending almost $100 on makeup in one shot.

Beauty Item I Swear By

de-slick in a tube $28.00

My face is oily and I used to have to re-apply my powder several times throughout the day. I have tried several primers, but Urban Decay de-slick is top of the pile for me. I received a sample with another purchase, and I haven't looked back since. I put this on in the morning and my face remains oil free all day and my makeup stays in place. This is a little pricer than I would normally spend on a beauty product, but it is worth every penny. You don't need to use much, so a tube will last a long time.
