The Death of the Auburn Trees

Auburn Poisoned Trees

The recent "prank" that was played allegedly by an Alabama fan on Auburn University goes beyond football rivalry for me. This is a tradgey that goes beyond being an Auburn fan, and SEC fan, a football fan or even a sports fan. As a student at UGA for the past 5 years as well as a fan of UGA football, I have come to appreciate those items that represent our culture (the Arch, North Campus for examples). Because of this, I can respect the meaning of these trees to Auburn fans, students and alumni. To damage them beyond repair is completely incorrigible. As fellow football fans, stand behind the traditions and cultures in other universities.
