A-line skirt
The cut of an A-line skirt follows the natural line of a woman's body by being cinched in at the waist and flarying out over the hips and thighs. Its a great way to hide larger hips and thighs, to accent a small waist (add a chick belt) or to add some volume to thin/boy shaped bodies.
Here are a few I suggest:
1. Ruche Brilliant in Bolds Floral Skirt ($34.99)
A bright floral pattern draws attention to the legs. Best for boy shaped bodies or paired with an equally bright top for everyone else (such as Worthington Short Sleeved Cowl Neck Top from JCPenny)
2. Theory Albia Skirt ($190.00)
This blue skirt could be worn as a neutral go to work skirt almost everyday.
3. Talbots Molly Double-weave A-line skirt ($99.00)
Another great neutral, this white skirt allows for a bright or patterned top to draw attention up (such as Stripped Cowl Neck Top from Forever 21).
4. Old Navy Belted Cinch Waist Skirt ($25.50)
This skirt comes with a belt to cinch the waist, perfect for small waistlines.
5. M.S.S.P. Linen A-Line Skirt ($88.00)
A great summer skirt, the pattern draws the attention down similar to what is seen in the Ruche skirt. This can be paired with a bright top as well (such as Bubble Sleeve Top from Express)
I am a big fan of the A-line! This pear shaped momma is always looking for flattering looks the are oh so glam!
